



Web Development Foundations (WDF) will provide basic skills for web scripting to create web pages and websites. Successful students who complete both courses will have the option to continue to higher-level courses in web development. HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript are used along with best practices to develop and manage websites, to industry standards maintained by the Word Wide Web Consortium (W3C).īeginning with COMP 1850 -Introduction to Web Development”, students move on to COMP 2132 -Web Development with JavaScript. They then practice building Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Starting with the HyperText Markup Language (HTML), students learn to create documents for web browsers. Students with no web coding background will be introduced to web scripting languages and tools by industry experts. Web Development Foundations (WDF) is a microcredential aimed at those, with no related experience, who want to learn to build web pages and websites by hand.
